La Festa Major de Sant Joan Despi has begun. Yesterday the actor Toni gave us a fun Albà cry that marked the start of the festivities. We want all santjuanencas santjuanencs and enjoy.

As every year there is a concert with an artist of some renown that serves to close the festival on Sunday. This year's concert will offer cloenda Nena Daconte. From these lines we want to point something about this concert, to be held on Sunday and at the end of the fireworks, at about 23.00, it becomes very difficult for people working the next day, which is usually the most part, stay to enjoy the performance.

"OPPOSITION OR GOVERNMENT?

For two terms the Catalan Socialist government has opened the city to the other political forces even obtaining an absolute majority in the council. Two elections ago, Iniciativa per Catalunya occupied the area of \u200b\u200bgovernment of "Social Services and Women", since repeated in the last legislature. Likewise, Convergence and Union had occupied and ask for "Consumption and Tourism" in the last government of the city.

The 16th of June will be the new city hall. The PSC has returned to win an absolute majority in the municipality and may once again be able to repeat the formula.

For ICV-EUiA, which has won two aldermen, has existed since the addresses of the parties at the national level a different approach that can directly affect our city. While ICV has stated that no studies enter some governments with an absolute majority of the PSC , EUiA is positioned in the opposite direction .

While it is true that from within government is the best way to implement the policies each party has in its election manifesto, the fact remains that due to the testimonial role that parties have less executive was voted its work overshadowed by the "achievements" and actions of the majority party and the government action does not reach the potential voters of these parties. Furthermore, we believe that the work of opposition is very necessary in certain circumstances.

After more than twenty years in which the municipality has been run by the same core of power, there are flaws that have been purchased and are required to report and correct and this can only be done from the opposition.

believe that the town is ideal for both the PSC in its work of government to do the best for the city and its citizens and all other parties to make a constructive opposition and guard each from their political profile.

So from these lines express our hope that both ICV-EUiA, CiU i ERC (although it already announced in its election) not part of the new government of the city and stay in opposition.

In life, the reality that surrounds us always affects a greater or lesser extent, whether major issues or seemingly trivial things, there will be an impact on us and we will have the perception that what surrounds us and we benefit disadvantage. This reality is perceived differently by each of us and that is why it may seem that for a white to another may appear completely black. There

On May 27 municipal elections were held that allowed us to choose our representatives in the City Council and in line with what has happened in the rest of Catalonia our town had an abstention rate of 46.29%. We conclude that there are many people who disagree with the title of this post.

The census for this election was 24,128 people, 111 more than in the last elections of 2003. The votes were distributed as follows:

Partit 6,956 votes for the Socialist Party of Catalonia (53.89%, 13 aldermen);
1,784 votes for Iniciativa per Catalunya (13.82%, 3 aldermen) ;
1,275 votes for the Popular Party (9.88%, 2 aldermen);
1,051 votes for Convergence and Union (8.14%, 2 aldermen);
991 votes for Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (7.69 %, 1 ruler)
532 votes to Ciutadans de Catalunya (4.12%, no ruler).

Regarding the last election changes in the number of trustees have been in a losing ERC and CiU who wins. Everything else remains the same. The PSC renews an absolute majority but had a 1.6 percent of the vote. The trend since the elections of 1999, earning over 60 percent of the vote continues to decline. The opposition parties should take this into account to do a good job of opposition if they want to prevent the PSC renew an absolute majority within the next four years.

CiU Except that not only increases in the percentage of votes but also the number (although it has grown to abstain in nearly six points), all other parties suffer from the appearance of Ciutadans de Catalunya, which gets de medio millar de votos, y bajan tanto en porcentaje como en número de votos. Sin embargo Ciutadans no consigue entrar en el consistorio por algo más de cien votos.

El ayuntamiento se constituirá el próximo 16 de Junio. Está por ver si el PSC realizará algún acuerdo de gobierno con otros grupos como ya hiciera en legislaturas anteriores (ICV y CiU).
